Mittens were designed to cover most of your forearm as well as your hand and upper part of your fingers. They feature a gusset on the arm that make them comfortable in any size with the sizes given are Small to Medium, Large to 1x Large, and 2x Large to 3x Large.

The mittens have a left and right hand orientation and directions are given to make doing that as easy as possible, with lots of pictures for clarification.

Sizes are clearly shown throughout the pattern and even though its only a few stitches different from size to size, those stitches make a big difference in comfort and wearability.

Please note that the mittens use the entire skein on the Indy dyed yarns. Subsequently, for some of the commercial DK yarns you will need 2 balls. Any DK yarn will work, though, so read your label and keep the yardage requirements in mind. A very short list of DK and how many you may need is shown below:

Kraemer Yarn -- Tatamy Tweed DK -- 1 250 yard skein
Kraemer Yarn -- Perfection DK -- 1 260 yard skein
Knit Picks DK Yarns -- You will need 2 skeins of any of these
