This Plain Knitted Wash Cloth is a great first project for beginning knitters. It is knit flat, using a size 6 needle and worsted cotton yarn. Gauge is not important. It has very simple construction, using garter stitch border and stockinette inset.

Put it with a nice bar of home made soap to make a great Hostess gift.
