This Platypus is a friendly little project inspired by one of Australia’s most unique animals. Suitable for beginners, materials and stitch information are listed below.
Materials:

1x 50g ball of 8ply dark brown yarn
1x 50g ball of 8ply dark grey yarn
1x 50g ball of 8ply light brown yarn
1x scrap of black yarn (optional)
3mm crochet hook

Abbreviations and stitches you should know:
ch = chain stitch
dc = double crochet
mr = magic ring
dec = decrease
inc = increase
st/ sts = stitch/ stitches
sl st = slip stitch
