The Play with Cables Pullover worked in the round, beginning at the hem. Chunky knit, relaxed fit pullover, suitable for all body types, is knitted in rib stitch with woven cable motifs. The pullover features a cowl neck, dropped shoulder and long rolled sleeves. The pattern for the pullover is both charted and written instructions which are given for 2 lengths. You can knit it as a pullover or as a tunic.

SKILL LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE.
MATERIALS REQUIRED
• For pullover: 9 x 100 g balls 720 m (788 yds) using Rowan Big Wool 069 colour (Reseda shade) yarn.
• For tunic: 12 x 100 g balls 960 m (1050 yds).
Alternatively use any super chunky yarn weight 65 - 80 m (71 - 88 yds) /100g ball, or two strands chunky = super chunky.
NB If you substitute another yarn, please check tension and yardage.
• 1 Circular needle 15.00 mm x 50 cm (US 19).
• 1 Circular needle 15.00 mm x 100 cm (US 19).
• 1 Stitch marker.
• 2 Stitch holders or scrap yarn.
• 1 Tapestry needle.
The pattern is in one size S (oversize) / M and 2 lengths: short (pullover)/ long (tunic). It is photographed in the short length option.

ACTUAL MEASUREMENTS AFTER BLOCKING
Flat width (just below armhole) - 50 cm / 19 ¾ ins.
Pullover length (from top of the shoulder): 56cm / 22 ins.
Tunic length (from top of the shoulder): 82 cm / 32 ¼ ins.
Sleeve length unrolled (from top of the shoulders) - 70 cm / 27 ½ ins.
Sleeve width (just below armhole) - 18 cm / 7 ins.

GAUGE (Tension): 8 sts and 10 rows = 10 cm (4 ins), measured over Rib 2 x 2 pattern, (garment being blocked), using 15.00 mm (US 19) needle.
NB Needle size is only a guide- if you get too many stitches for 10 cm, take a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches for 10 cm, take a smaller needle size. It’s very important to check your gauge (tension) before starting as working to the wrong tension will mean your garment won’t be size shown.
