Pocket Cat Plushie
Meet your new lovely mini plushie - Pocket Cat!
This beginner-friendly pattern is designed to be worked with super bulky plush chenille yarns like Himalaya Dolphin Baby, Wolans Yarns Bunny Baby, or YarnArt Dolce, giving your finished toy a soft, velvety feel. Although you can also use other yarns like Bernat Blanket or similar bulky yarns, just keep in mind that the toy’s size will vary depending on your yarn choice.
Pattern Details:
Written in English (US crochet terms).
Designed for right-handed crocheters.
Includes:
- Complete crochet VIDEO TUTORIAL (the YouTube link is available in the PDF document). The video doesn’t have any speaking, but includes a detailed written description of each action on screen. It’s a thorough tutorial, 40 minutes long, and divided into chapters (timestamps are provided). You can adjust the video speed in the YouTube settings.
- Text-only crochet pattern in PDF (3 pages).
Skills Required - basic crochet knowledge:
ch – chain
st / sts – stitch / stitches
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc - double crochet
sl st – slip stitch
inc – increase
dec – decrease
Materials & Tools:
- chunky chenille / plush yarn (100% polyester, 100 g / 120 m = 3.5 oz / 131 yds)
yarn consumption: ~ 20 g = 0.7 oz
- 4 mm (size G-6) crochet hook;
- stuffing - polyester fiberfill (hollow fiber);
- scissors;
- yarn needle;
- stitch marker (or a thin thread);
- thin black yarn for embroidering the eye lines and nose;
- thin white yarn for embroidering the whiskers;
- 12 mm (0.47 in) plastic safety eyes.
Finished Size:
The size of the finished toy is about 10 cm (3.9 in) if you use the specified or similar materials and tools.
