The polar bear (Ursus maritimus) is found in the frozen fields of the Arctic. Its’ big bulk makes it the largest living carnivore and the most dangerous bear in the world! A convenient rhyme about bears says: “If it’s brown, get down. If it’s black, get back. If it’s white, say good night.”
Fortunately, this polar bear isn’t dangerous at all, but you can still wish it good night as it cuddles up beside you!

This polar bear measures 20 cm from nose to bum and was knitted on 2.25 mm double pointed needles (UK 13, US 1), in (30 grs/60 m of) DROPS Alpaca (101) white, combined with a strand of DROPS Alpaca Bouclé (100) off white. Soft toy filling was used to fill the polar bear. To give the bear its’ signature fluffy white appearance, the texture of your chosen yarn matters!

This project is an easy to medium knit, with some knitting flat and in the round, transferring of stitches and keeping live stitches on spare needles.

Have a beary good knit! Viv
