The Polka Dot & Stripe Duo Hat Pattern contains patterns for both the polka dot & the striped hat. Both are knit in the round with one strand of alpaca silk & one strand of merino wool held together. The body is worked on circular needles, with magic loop or DPNs used for the crown decreases. After knitting, the hat is brushed to enhance its softness and give it the signature fuzzy look. The polka dots are added after knitting using the duplicate stitch method. Ive included video tutorials for some of the steps as well for those who need it!

Ive included a fun version of the pattern that was graphic designed by Gretchen Kupferschmid, along with individual pdf patterns for each hat pattern so you can choose which you prefer to follow!

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner

MEASUREMENT: Approx. 9” wide & 8.5” tall laying flat

GAUGE: 13 stitches x 17 rows = 10 x 10 cm 4 x4 inches in stockinette stitch (after blocking)

NEEDLES:

• Size US 10 (6mm) circular needles (around 16”)
• Size US 10 (6mm) circular needles (around 24”) or size US 10 (6mm) double pointed needles (for decreasing at top of the hat)

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS: Hand wash, lay flat to dry.
