Meet your own little Pompompurin! With his rounded yellow body, floppy ears, and signature brown beret, he’s a cheerful addition to your amigurumi collection.

This listing is for a PDF crochet pattern containing instructions to make Pompompurin. It is not a finished physical item or a kit. No materials are included.

The legs are joined as you crochet, and the body and head continue as one piece. The ears, arms, tail, and beret are made separately and attached. An embroidered nose and mouth complete his expression.

✨ What’s included

  • Detailed written instructions with step-by-step photos
  • Guidance for shaping the ears and positioning the details
  • A separate crocheted beret, with tips for different finishes
  • An illustrated techniques appendix

Skill level and techniques
Suitable for experienced beginners. The pattern mainly uses continuous rounds, with joined rounds for the beret and a few short rows to finish smaller pieces. Basic embroidery and sewing are also required.

Finished size
Approximately 10 cm tall and 9 cm wide when made with sport-weight yarn and a 2.0 mm hook. Size will vary depending on the yarn and hook selected.

Materials

  • Sport-weight yarn in yellow, brown, and black. I used YarnArt Jeans.
  • 2.0 mm crochet hook.
  • Alternatively, use your favourite yarn in the colours above and a hook approximately 1 mm smaller than the size recommended on the yarn label. Aim for firm, even stitches that hold their shape and keep the stuffing from showing.
  • Stuffing.
  • Oval black eyes, approximately the size of 1 stitch—I used 5 mm eyes on wire pins. Instructions also indicate when to insert safety eyes if you prefer to use those.
  • Stitch markers, sewing pins, and a tapestry needle.
  • Optional fabric glue. If using eyes on wire pins, secure them with glue as described in the pattern.

Language and terminology
English, using US crochet terminology.
