Portobello Sweater features a classic Breton stripe and half button-up design for everyday understated chic. The sweater is first worked back and forth with raglan increases. The work is then divided for the body and sleeves and new stitches are cast on for the underarm. The work continues back and forth before casting on new stitches between the left and right fronts to join and work in the round. The body and sleeves are finished separately and worked in the round. The sleeves and body edges are worked with ribbing and bound off using the Italian bind-off technique. Each side of the button band is then picked up separately and worked in rib. The neckband is then picked up and worked in rib.
