These mitts arose from my love of The Shift Cowl designed by Andrea Mowry; I just didn’t want the pattern to end! When I had so much left over yarn, I knew that I could turn them into perfect mitts. I think this pattern would work wonderfully to make any project you love last a little longer. These mitts feature a more open thumb design in case you don’t care for having your thumb feel restricted (like myself) and are a super quick knit. I hope you love knitting these and that they keep your hands just as toasty as mine!

Size
One size to fit a hand with a 6 ¾“ circumference at the widest part of the palm. The pattern can easily be adapted for a bigger or smaller hand.

At least 28g of sport weight yarn divided over 3 colors or any yarn to obtain gauge. I used my Spincycle Yarns Dyed in the Wool scraps from my cowl.

Needles
Two US6/4mm 16” circular or your preferred needles for knitting in the round.
