The Nanny Bird Cowl
Use code “firstrelease!” for 20% off until November 29th!
If you’re anything like me, you have several single skeins of yarn in your stash and no idea what to do with them. The Nanny Bird Cowl is a quick and satisfying way to put those skeins to work. Knit in the round, it features a seed stitch boarder and a lovely slipped stitch pattern for the main body. Once blocked, the slipped stitch pattern really opens up to show off your beautiful skein.
Size
One size. Easily adaptable to make the cowl bigger.
Yarn
200yds/182.88m of sport weight yarn. I used Spincycle Yarns Dyed in the Wool in the Dead Reckoning colorway, although this pattern can easily be adapted to any weight.
Needles
US4/3.50mm with a 24”/61cm circular needle.
Gauge
Not important for this project.
Blocked Measurements
11 3/4” x 8 3/4” (30cmx22cm)
This cowl was inspired by my wonderful grandmother.
