This is the second square in the ‘Pretty Icy Diagonals’ series. It includes simple diagonals just like in ‘Pretty Icy Diagonals 1’ but this time with a new snowflake design.

If you want to learn to do short diagonals in double filet, this is a good practice piece. The diagonals are all completed when facing the right side of your work. The square is worked from the bottom up. Full written pattern included.

There are twelve vertical lines of contrast colour and twelve windows in the background making this a 12x12 square.

You just need two contrasting colours and an appropriate sized hook for the yarn chosen. When worked in DK this makes a 13x13cm coaster. You will need approximately 10g of each colour, if you are using DK yarn.

Multiple squares can be joined together to make place mats, scarves, bags and blankets.
