This is the fourth square in the ‘Pretty Icy Diagonals’ series. The diagonals get a bit more complicated than ‘Pretty Icy Diagonals 1 and 2’ because you sometimes have to include vertical posts at the front. Full written instructions included.

If you want to challenge yourself with more short diagonals in double filet, this is a good place to practise. The diagonals are still all completed when facing the right side of your work. The square is worked from the bottom up.

There are twelve vertical lines of contrast colour and twelve windows in the background making this a 12x12 square.

You just need two contrasting colours and an appropriate sized hook for the yarn chosen. When worked in DK this makes a 13x13cm coaster. You will need approximately 10g of each colour, if you are using DK yarn.

Multiple squares can be joined together to make place mats, scarves, bags and blankets.
