Our love for Pride & Prejudice is never ending. It is a classic that tells many stories. The novel’s cover is often decorated with peacock as a symbol of pride and self esteem. And that was what we wanted to knit, big and flamboyant pattern.

Prior knowledge of sock knitting is required.

There is one size: 72 sts.
The size can be modified by yarn choice and gauge. You can add extra rounds for length and there is calf increases.

The socks are knit toe up, have under sole gusset and short row heel. You clever ones can alter the sock to your taste: change the heel, make regular gusset and heel flap, or use the colorwork pattern on your favourite sock pattern.

Pattern uses the following:

• Magic cast on, or similar (not instructed)
• M1R, M1L
• Colorwork, charted
• Ladder stitch / ladder jacquard technique (not instructed, maybe update later)
• K1tbl, P1 ribbing
• Short row heel
• P2tog, SSK
• Italian bind off (not instructed)
