These mittens are based on the trans-inclusive Progress Pride flag combined with the Straight Ally flag, and I made them and wear them to show my love and support for the LGBTQ+ community. Love is love. Be an ally!

Approximate weight needed (if sticking to gauge):

One ball of yarn: 100gr = 425 meters/465 yards or 50 g = 210 meters/230 yards. You can replace these suggestions with any other yarn of the same weight, or change the weight if you want a different end result.

Needles: Magic loop or double pointed needles size 2 mm/US 0 and 3 mm/US 2.5, or whichever size needle is suitable for achieving gauge or change size. If you use magic loop, a cable of about 60-80 cm/25-30” is sufficient.

Tapestry needle
A piece of scrap yarn in a contrasting colour
Scissors

Gauge for colourwork: Approx. 33 st/35 rows = 10 cm/4”.
