June 2022 Based on feedback in the projects, I’ve tweaked the mane so it’s easier to construct. The edging is now crocheted as the final row of the mane rather than a separate piece to sew on. I’ve also included how-to photos and added specific instructions on where to attach the limbs (this applies to all of my patterns).

This is a crochet pattern for an Amigurumi Lion. It’s written using US crochet terms, made with worsted weight yarn and a 3.75 mm crochet hook, with a finished size of around 8 inches tall when using the recommended yarn weight. The Lion features a hood-style mane and sits proudly on his hind legs.

You should be familiar with basic crochet stitches to follow this pattern, but it’s beginner friendly thanks to the included 20-page instruction booklet on how to crochet. The pattern comes with photos and clear instructions so you can follow along with confidence.
