Introduction

A whimsical cushion cover named for the cluster stitches causing a “puckered” appearance in the fabric. This classic and textured pillow is knit in a chunky weight yarn so it flies off the needles - the perfect home decor project for a long rainy weekend! Optional tassels add an extra touch of fun.

Materials

5 x 100g balls of Stitch and Story The Chunky Wool or another chunky-weight yarn of your choice

Set of 12mm needles (or size required to reach gauge)

Gauge

10 stitches and 11 rows = 10cm x 10cm in cluster pattern

Sizing

This cushion cover is one size, written to fit a square pillow of 46 x 46cm. The cover is designed to fit snugly. If you need to size up or down significantly, cast on a multiple of 6 plus 4 stitches and follow pattern as directed. Note that the cluster stitch requires stretching and blocking so your cover may seem small until blocked - I recommend creating and blocking a gauge swatch!
