These socks are a tribute to my late knitting friend Puck, also known as Draadjesfeest and half of the proceeds of this pattern will be donated in her name to the assistance dogs association “Bultersmekke”.

The Pucks Perfect Socks are knit up toe up and have a size range from 28 to 47.

Starting with only 8 stitches in Judy’s magic cast on, increases on either side form a nicely rounded toe.

The top of the foot and the leg of the sock are knit up in a 3x1 rib, making the sock both squishy and comfortble to wear.

In order to accommodate a good fit for feet with normal to high arches, a wedge (gusset) is added. This will provide a wider instep as compared to normal short row heels.

The entire heel is knit in one go by using German short rows, so there is no need to pick up stitches at all.

By knitting with this technique, you can use up all of your main colour yarn until the very last bit.

Puck was very fond of anything pink and glittery, so the very top part of the cuff is knit in a contrasting pink yarn.
