These socks were designed with Bellica Yarns “Pumpkin” and “Pumpkin Vine” yarns in mind. The simple stockinette rib, letting the variegated yarn sing, whilst still clearly resembling the sections of the pumpkins skin, they were designed to.
Designed for use with a mini circular needle, this pattern can be easily followed by someone using DPN’s or Magic loop.
Easy enough for a beginner, but enough interest for an advanced socker also.
There are three adult size options, small, medium and large.
The pattern calls for a main colour and a contrasting colour, but you could just as easily use the one main colour.
There are instructions for a heel flap and gusset, and for those who dislike the pooling that this heel creates with variegated yarns, there is also instructions for a forethought heel.
