Sometimes you just seem to hit that sweet spot with a design where
everything goes your way. So it was with these fabulous toe-up socks. A chance encounter at Loop, London, with a gorgeous skein of yarn gave me the chance to work with Plucky Primo for the first time and I certainly wasn’t disappointed.

I wanted to cast on for socks that would be simple to knit but would have a little added interest, without being too lacy or fussy.

This simple textured central pattern fits the bill perfectly and starting the pattern right at the toes means that you avoid that awkward transition that can sometimes happen with socks, at the point where the toe increases stop and the pattern starts. Perfect if you want to try something a little different with your next pair of toe-up socks.
