Purple Reign Tam

I hadn’t got an idea in mind for the name of this tam until i was sitting at my folks house knitting this and my mum said the colours were very regal. I decided to combine this with my love of the music of Prince and used a play on words to call it Purple Reign! This beanie appears more complicated than it is - there are no long floats which make it suitable for beginners plus it uses only two colours throughout.

Jamieson’s of Shetland Spindrift (100% pure
Shetland Wool: 105m/26g)
one of each of the following
Clover 596 - 2 balls
Mustard 425 - 1 ball

One size to fit average size adult head.
Finished circumference 51cm/21 inches

Tension
28 sts and 32 rows to 10cm over stranded colour
work after blocking. Use 3.25mm needles as start
point for checking gauge. Please check gauge
carefully and adjust your needle size accordingly
