The mitts are about the size of a large swatch, so this is a great way to try out new techniques, or to satisfy your love of colorwork almost instantly! The mitts are sized for toddlers, children, and women. The women’s mitt uses worsted weight yarn. The toddler size fingering weight and the children’s sport weight yarn. Only small amounts of each color are used so this is a great way to use up leftovers from other projects.

Mitts are knit flat, using the Intarsia method of colorwork and seamed. The thumb gusset is worked the same time as the Bird chart. Stitches are then picked up and worked in the round to create the thumb.
