This pattern follows a simple, increasing repeat that gives a satisfying pattern. It can be continued to larger sizes if you wish, but this works well as a single design or in conjunction with my other granny square patterns to make a full blanket.

This will suit other yarns, and you can size it down by using DK, or up by using a lower weight chunky.

Caron baby cakes yarn with a size 5mm hook works the best to give both the detail and texture equal footing to be seen.

At the same gauge as mine, you will be able to get 4 squares out of a 100g caron baby cake.

The photographs shown, include two from pattern testers, so that different colour changes and combinations can be seen. Thank you to those people for testing and allowing me to show examples of their work.
