This pattern is the eleventh in a series of “Quilter’s” patterns. All these patterns have the same number of stitches and rows so that they could be sewn into a blanket, if so desired. (I am not known for designing patterns of consistent dimensions.)

You will need one 50 gr ball of 100% cotton worsted weight yarn. The finished dimensions of this cloth are 9 1/4”W x 9”H and it weighs in at 43 gr. Only a basic understanding of knitting is required to knit this dishcloth: Cast on, cast off, knit and purl stitches. However, should you choose the contrast colour collar option, a knowledge of carrying yarn across the back of the work would be helpful.

For best results knitting ‘picture’ dishcloths, use a size or two smaller needle than you usually would for the given yarn, choose a solid colour yarn and block your finished dishcloth.

Tunie took a break from knitting one of her amazing peacock shawls to test knit this pattern for me. Thank you, thank you to my extra set of knitting hands well across the ocean and down on the other side of the Earth. What a miracle to have found you!!
