This pattern is for a textured triangular scarf. Both solid colors and self-striping yarns yield excellent results.

Size: approximately 11” wide in the center (widest point) by 6 feet in length.

It is written for a thin #5/Bulky or thick #4/worsted or aran on a large or extra large loom. Using a #4 yarn on an extra large gauge loom will yield a more open fabric suitable for mild weather, while a thicker yarn on a large gauge loom will yield a denser fabric. The prototype uses Lion Brand Tweed Stripes ‘Ozark Forest’ knit flat on the Knifty Knitter round yellow loom (13/16” gauge). As this is not a fitted garment, gauge is not critical.

Materials

  • Large gauge knitting loom - minimum 28 pegs
  • Knitting tool
  • 2 skeins yarn (about 200 yards)
  • scissors & optional crochet hook for weaving in ends

Skills increase, decrease, true knit, purl, box stitch garter.
