Knit a squidgy rainbow decoration to hang on your wall or in a window to cheer up passers by. My rainbow also has fluffy fleecy clouds. This is a great pattern for using up odds and ends of yarn in your stash.

  • The finished rainbow is approximately 13cm tall and 19cm wide.
  • The pattern is 2 pages and written in English only.
  • The rainbow is knitted in the round on a circular needle using the Magic Loop method.
  • You will need to know how to cast on and off, knit, work a k2tog decrease, change colours to knit stripes and sew seams.

  • A 3.5mm circular needle (US 4)
  • DK yarn (double knitting or light worsted weight)
  • A few handfuls of toy filling
  • Ready-made fleece pompoms and glue to stick on

If you don’t have any toy filling, you could use scraps of yarn, cut up and shredded carrier bags or old socks/tights. Instead of the ready-made fleece pompoms, you can use cottonwool balls, or make pompoms from white yarn.
