Rainbow Donkey is a character from the webcomic The Evil Squirrel’s Nest by Bill Brown. For my Make It! Challenge series, Bill challenged me to bring this beloved character to life in crochet.

Long story short, Rainbow Donkey is a donkicorn… a little bit donkey and a little bit unicorn and a lot of cute. By shortening the ears and/or omitting the horn, this pattern would be easy to adjust if you wanted to crochet a horse, donkey, or unicorn instead.

I hope you enjoy making a Rainbow Donkey of your very own. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me here. Thanks!
