Here’s a summer version of the  circular yoke sweater. The yoke is sideways knitted by means of short rows. CAP SLEEVE COTTON TOP with the addition of some shadow pleated fabric around the lower edge, making this one a tunic length of 28-29.5”.

YARN, GAUGE AND MACHINE:
Two gauges are provided so that either a bulky or standard gauge machine may be used. Silk City .75 softball cotton or other soft worsted cotton yarn gets a gauge of 4 stitches/6 rows per inch  at about stitch size 6 on the bulky. Most mid-gauge machines can match the  gauge. Bonds try keyplate 3-4. For standard  gauge and Passap machines, choose one of the many yarns that gets 7 stitches/10  rows per inch. 2/8 cotton works well. 1 lb will be adequate for sizes through 42”. Larger sizes may require 2.  Take gauge measurements AFTER washing.
