These socks are a perfect knit for those endless rainy days where the repeats of the entrelac squares take you to a happy place.

This pattern is a good knit for first time entrelac knitters. As it provides detailed instructions and a schematic about how to work entrelac.

Size
S (M, L) for 60 (66, 72) sts.

Finished measurements: foot / leg circumference: 19 (20.5, 22.5)cm / 7.5 (8, 9)’’

Choose a size approximately 2.5 cm / 1’’ smaller than actual measurements. Measured around ball of foot.

Yarn
CreaLien Design Gold Sparkle Sock (75% Superwash Merino wool/ 20% nylon/ 5% golden stellina, 400 m/ 437 yards / 100 g), shown in color Rainy Days. Or other fingering weight yarn.

Yardage
Estimated yardage 350 (400, 450)m / 380 (437, 492)yrds.

Since these socks are knitted toes up, it is easy to adjust the length. For size S and M one skein of 100g fingering weight yarn should be enough to knit the socks.
For size L you might need 50 -100 grams of contrast yarn extra, for example to knit the heel and picot cuff with.

Needles
2.00 mm / (US 0) needles for working small circumferences in the round.

Pattern is written with long circulars with magic loop in mind, but works just as fine with two smaller sets of circulars or double point needles.

Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the right gauge.

Gauge
32 sts x 44 rnds = 10x10 cm / 4x4’’ in stockinette stitch after washing and blocking.

Other
Scrap yarn, tapestry needle, crochet hook.
