Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a woman of great substance and style. The RBG Shawl is inspired by her wonderful collection of neckpieces and collars that she wears over her judicial robes, adding flair and statements. I drew on the wide array of styles in her collection that range from simple lace to more elaborately beaded ones.

If you need an RBG shawl quicker than fingering weight, use DK and a size US 7 (4.5mm) or size US 8 (5.mm), and omit the lace section.

The half-circle shawl starts with a garter tab and segues through simple eyelets and garter stitch to column lace and then to the classic Crown of Glory stitch. Garter stitch ridges and eyelet points form the edging.

The directions are both written and charted.
