This pattern is written in US crochet terms

A Cuttlefish made using this pattern and listed crochet hook and yarn measures approximately 17 inches (43cm) long
Materials List (all yarn yardage is approximate) :

• 3.75mm (F) or 4/4.25mm (G) Crochet hook
• 200-230 yards of Medium / Category 4 / Worsted Weight / Aran /10 ply yarn altogether, or if you use different colours:
• 75-100 yards for the mantle
• 60-65 yards of Colour 2 (Rounds 1-13 of head and tentacles)
• 30-35 yards of Colour 3 (Rounds 14 and onward)
• 10 yards of Colour 4 (one round of Sc around the tentacles)
• 22-25 yards of Colour 5 (Fins), and optional – 5 yards of Colour 6 for Sl Sts around fins Some white and black yarn for the eyes And of course polyester fiberfill and sewing needle and thread
