ABOUT THE PATTERN
Recreation Socks are inspired by adventures taken along mountain and forest trails. The cable running down the front of the sock will require a cable needle. The sock pattern is written out in words (no charts) with the sock worked from the cuff down to the toe.

BEFORE YOU GET STARTED
Yarn: Approximately 300 yards of fingering weight yarn. Yardage will vary depending on the desired finished size socks.
Needles: US 1 / 2.25 mm circular needle or double-pointed needles, or size needed for the desired gauge.
Gauge: 16 stitches and 22 rows in 2 inches, Measured in stockinette stitch in the round
