RECTANGULAR HAP
This hap is inspired by the six natural colors of the Shetland Heritage Naturals, by Jamieson&Smith. I have been playing with the 12 skeins (two of each color) for a long time, sniffing the lovely sheepy smell, and dreaming of a hap. After a while I got a clear idea of the long rectangular shape, the combination of sturdy garter and dreamy Estonian lace and in the end I also knew how I wanted to combine the colors.
The design alternates garter stripes, in which one color flows into the next, with lace in one color.
The yarn is wonderful to work with, and it blocks really well, like all Shetland yarn.
