Candy is relaxing at the edge of a carrot garden. She has just cleaned her pretty white paws and yet she so desperately wants to taste one of those bright orange carrots.
“Maybe Coco will be a good boyfriend and dig one up for me” she muses. With a bit of rolling her eyes and soft nuzzling she is delighted that Coco finally helped her fill her tummy. Now they really can relax in the garden.
These two wee bunnies are worked in Rico Baby Teddy Aran yarn. It is an aran weight yarn that really feels like a baby yarn when you have it on your needles. Each of the bunnies takes half of a 146m ball of yarn The inner ears are worked in Schachenmayr Baby Smiles yarn but any baby weight yarn will do fine. The embroidery is done in Patons Astra Bright Pink - (paw pads, paw lines, mouth).
The design is a very simple one with the back legs being attached with plastic joints. (optional). Candy has her front paws planted firmly under her chin as she rests on her elbows while Coco has his front arms outstretched as he eats his carrot. Instructions for each of these elements is fully explained with photos in the pattern.

A quick and easy design for you to make for Easter. Make Candy or make Coco - or better yet, make the set. After all they are a mated pair.

Note: this design can be worked in ANY yarn from fingering to chunky but the size of the finished bunny will vary if you work in anything other than DK. Or, use stash yarn, it only takes half a ball of yarn for each bunny!
Happy Knitting and Happy Easter Everyone! xo wendy
