Allgemeines:

Die ”Renette” wird von der schmalen Kante zur breiten Zopf Bordüre gestrickt und von einem schmalen ”Renette Zopf ”und einer breiten Zopfkante ”eingerahmt“.
In jeder HR werden zwei unsichtbare - nach rechts geneigte Zunahmen gestrickt. Vor der breiten Zopfkante wird eine Masche abgenommen, wodurch sich das Tuch angenehm in eine Bogenform ”legt”.

• Das Tuch kann aus Sport oder DK Gewicht Garn gearbeitet werden und bekommt je nach Garnwahl eine mehr “lacige” Ausstrahlung.

Maße:

• (S) Renette - 300g = 150cm x 60cm
• (M) Renette - 325g = 160cm x 70cm,
• (L) Renette - 350g = 175cm x 80cm

Material:

• DK Gewicht Garn LL zwischen 200 und 220m/100g (Originalgarn DK Babyalpaca, Pascuali Alpaca Fino)
• Sport Gewicht Garn mit einer LL von ungefähr 300m/100g,
• Rundstricknadeln - 3,5mm für das Sportgewicht Garn, - Rundstricknadeln 4,0mm für das DK Gewicht
• Hilfsnadel (wenn die Zöpfe mit HN gestrickt werden)
• 2 Maschenmarkierer (MM)

Siehe oben für DK oder Sportgewicht Garne.
Eine Maschenprobe ist für dieses Tuch nicht unbedingt erforderlich.

The Renette Shawl pays a tribute to an old -fashioned apple variety which blooms every other year in our garden. Again and again, the flowers are so overwhelming that they almost overshadow the harvest of sweet fruit. Like our old trees, this shawl is based on the combination of structures. Bark and buds flow into a rich cable edging, as the way from the flowers to the fruits.

• Construction - Notes

The Renette shawl is a triangular, sideways knit shawl. You’ll start knitting at the right tip, then work your way across to the left Renette Cable. The slightly asymmetrical triangle shape is created by increasing 2 stitches with Right Lifted Increases (RLI) and decreasing one st by knitting 2 together before the Large Cable Border (LCB).

(S) - 300g = 150cm/59” x 60cm/23”
(M) - 325g = 160cm/63” x 70cm/27”
(L) - 350g = 175cm/69” x 80cm/30”

The shawl is easily adjustable if you wish to make a small/medium/large version or need to adjust for different yarn weight, gauge or yardage. You just knit until the indicated stitch count of the rib pattern and continue with the cable edging till you have used up your yarn.

• Gauge (Blocked) Gauge is not critical for this project but differences will affect yardage requirements and the finished size. Be sure to use a larger needle size than may be recommended for your yarn to allow a good drape of the finished item. DK weight 20 sts x 22 rows 10 cm/4.0” in stockinette stitch with US 4/ 3.5 mm needle. Sport weight 26 sts x 36 rows 10 cm/4.0” in stocking stitch with US 6 /4.0 mm needle.
