Renfrew Socks
Hand-painted skein in a kaleidoscope of vibrant colours are captivating to create and collect. However, they make me reach for a ‘vanilla’ sock pattern to showcase them time and time again. I crave something a little more adventurous, and a little less mindless, and designed the Renfrew Socks. Highlight your extraordinary skeins in all their splendour, with simple yarn overs and slipped stitches. Inspired by the exquisite views and racing raindrops on windy drive to Port Renfrew, BC, these toe-up socks offer an easy-to-remember stitch pattern and cushy rib, making them ideal for on-the-go wear.
While the stitch is technically brioche, don’t let that scare you! It’s just slipped stitches by another name, and the feedback from testers was how easy to memorize and simple to make.
