Reposado and Agave are the first two designs in the Tequila Series, my latest collaboration with the lovely people at YOTH. In this series, I’m exploring different textures and yarn weights and using cooler colors, such as greens and browns.

I’m also thinking about the coming change in season from winter to spring. While Agave is a quick, squishy hat to wear right now, Reposado is a lighter piece to wear as soon as we throw off those jackets.

Reposado showcases the distinct cotton/wool texture and the subtle shades of color in Best Friend, which are sophisticated and gorgeous in stockinette, but even more beautiful in simple lace.

The design features lace on either side of the sweater, resulting in a gorgeous scalloped hem and a lovely edge around the armholes. The short, slightly flared shape is flattering and versatile, and the design calls for minimal finishing.

Reposado is worked in the round to armholes, then worked flat to shoulders. Lace is both written and charted, and notes are in the pattern about making modifications to length or width if desired.

The way I see it, you could cast on right now with Agave for an instantly satisfying cold weather hat, and then dream about Spring while working on Reposado to wear as soon as the days warm up.

If you want to make both, pop them in your Ravelry cart and use the code TEQUILA, which will take $1 off each! If you’d like to purchase either one separately, they can be bought solo as listed above.
