These socks are dedicated to Megan of Retold Yarns, an indie-dyed yarn company with colorways named after movie quotes. Megan is an absolutely amazing human: a kind soul, a loving person, and a genius with color! Megan mostly dyes micro-striping or variegated yarns, so this pattern is designed to help break up any pooling that may occur. If you want to be doubly sure that your yarn won’t pool, divide your skein in half and alternate skeins.

This sock is a cuff-down, heel flap and gusset construction with a wedge toe. From afar, the simple-looking stitch pattern looks the same from heel to toe. Up close, it gets “retold” slightly after the heel turn. The heel flap itself is also a “retold” version of a slip stitch heel flap, just to shake things up. Let your yarn be the star, and let those wild colors shine!
