This double knit reversible cowl was inspired by our kittens, Tacocat and Beans, who love to snuggle up against our faces, and coordinates with Glaring Socks.

The designer chose background colors that would contrast with the cat colors but still be natural cat colors on the reverse side. Customize this cowl to represent your own feline friends with your color choices. Be sure to have plenty of contrast between the two colors used at the same time for best results. The cowl uses about 400 yards of yarn. If only using 2 colors you will need about 200 yards of each; for 4 colors, about 100 yards of each color.

Double knitting tends to produce fabric at a looser gauge; keep this in mind when choosing needles. Working a gauge swatch in the round is definitely recommended!
