This scarf was designed as a companion to the Reversible Strands for Men (and Women too!) hat by Nancy Smith found here:

As in the hat, there are cables on one side and smooth patterning on the other. This pattern utilizes front and back post double crochet stitches. A description of each stitch is included in the pattern, if you are unfamiliar. Videos for doing each stitch can also be found on youtube.com.
