Errata published Dec 1. 2014! Crap!! I noticed a typo on the original PDF - the main pattern should be a k2, p1 rib (not k1, p1). Sorry for any inconvenience or confusion! I’ve uploaded a corrected PDF.

Directions for solid color and for stripes. Use any worsted weight yarn.
This is a beginner-friendly pattern, using to easy stitches -- garter and rib. Skills needed include knit, purl, make 1 (M1), knitting in the round, and changing color (if you stripe).

Stripes use a small amount of yarn - great for busting your stash!

Never done stripes in the round? This is a good first project, with hints on where to hide the beginning of the stripe (the jog). There are also plenty of online sources for learning jogless stripes.

May need more than one ball of yarn for L and men’s L, especially if knitting a solid color.

A note about the recommended yarn - I still like it, but when I blocked it, it got limp and stretched out quite a bit…maybe see its yarn page for notes/forum, etc., before deciding. I will still use it, but will be careful about blocking (maybe just w/ a spray bottle) and cleaning.
