Riddu – Coast

Riddu means “coast” in Northern Sámi. I grew up in the small fishing village of Gjesvær, where the sea and fishing have been closely woven into life for generations. The pattern is inspired by life along the coast and by the sea that has connected people and generations.

Riddu is worked from the bottom up with a circular yoke shaped with decreases. The sweater is worked in the round in stockinette stitch and stranded colorwork.

Bust circumference: 91 (98) 105 (113) 120 (127) 135 cm
Gauge: 22 stitches and 29 rounds = 10 cm
Needles: 3 mm and 3.5 mm
