Overview

The hat is cast on and knit in the round. The long stockinette brim is later folded to create a double brim. Afterwards, a simple colorwork motif is knit and the hat is finished in the main color.

Specifics

Yarn:
DK or light worsted weight yarn
I used Myak in their 100% yak base
2 skeins of MC and 1 skein of CC

Needles:
US 7 3.25 mm gauge needles, in 16 inch circulars and in preferred method for knitting on small circumferences
I used 32 inch needles for magic loop
and one size larger needle in 16 inch circulars to maintain gauge during brim pick-up

Gauge:
This is a DK or light worsted weight project
10 sts by 15 sts in 2 inches with gauge needles, blocked, in stockinette

Size 1 is 90 sts (16.75 inches 42.5cm unstretched circumference, post-block measured over colorwork)
