Whether photographically, geographically, artistically, or emotionally, I have always been captivated by ridges. And the idea of illustrating this with yarn, has fascinated me for some time. When I encountered the richly textured, sculptural qualities of Varv, I saw the opportunity and began to experiment. And now finally the idea has become reality.



Alternating between multi-strand Nutiden and Fin-weight Varv, the Ridge Pullover invites you to play with texture, with light and shadow, and with the nuance of colour - while engaged in a simple and meditative knit.

The finished result is a piece of abstract sculptural art, that is also a lightweight, simple, and ultra-wearable garment.

CONSTRUCTION
The Ridge Pullover is worked flat. The bodice is knitted in one piece, like a beach towel with a hole in the middle. Sleeves are then added and the sweater is sewed up at the sides. Diagrams illustrating the construction and assembly are included in the instructions.
