The blend of sock yarn and mohair for this cowl is the perfect combination for warmth in the cold.
The twisted rib and garter ridges add a pretty and simple texture, and the length sits comfortably on the neck without too much bulk under a heavy winter coat.
This cowl is perfect for using leftover yarn, just make sure you have at least 80g of fingering/sock weight yarn so you’re not playing yarn chicken too closely.

There is no strict gauge for this pattern. This cowl is a one size fits most. If you are a tight knitter with a tighter gauge, try going up a needle size or two from the size recommended for the cast on and garter collar.
This pattern uses approximately 90g of fingering weight yarn combined with mohair-silk lace weight yarn.
The cowl measures approximately 9 ½ in (24.13cm) in length and 22 in circumference (55.88cm)
