This cardigan is an easy yet entertaining knit for the babies and children in your life!

Details
RIE cardigan is knitted seamlessly from the top down.
Body is knitted flat in one piece, using different textures: a slipped stitch pattern for fronts, garter stitch for back, stockinette stitch for sleeves.
Sleeves are knitted in the round from when you separate them from body, to cuff.
At last, stitches are picked up from fronts sides to knit the buttonbands.

The cardigan has around 5 cm / 2” of positive ease at bust and around 3.5 cm/1.5” of positive ease at upper arm to grow in.
Ease is built in, just pick the age size of your choice, for the ease stated.

Gauge
22 sts and 40 rows = 10 cm / 4” in garter stitch
22 sts and 32 rows = 10 cm / 4” in stockinette stitch
24 sts and 40 rows = 10 cm / 4” in slipped stitch
On 3.75 mm / US 5 needles, worked flat and measured after blocking.
