Inspiration:
As the name suggest, the hat was inspired by my dearest friend Rina.

I wanted to dedicate this design to her, as she requested a hat for Christmas this year. We usually go out of our way to so small, kind gestures for each other and this year is no different. She hinted; I deliver.

This pattern is very versatile, and it can be worked in any yarn and in any gauge.

Sizes:

One size, but this design can easily be made into different measurements. As written the hat fits an average adult size head.

Finished measurements:
Circumference 20 in (51 cm), height 11 in (28 cm).

Gauge:
24 sts/40rows blocked swatch worked in 2 rows in stockinette st and 2 rows in reverse stockinette st. Alternating the two. Swatch to be worked flat, on size 4 US (3.5 mm) needles.

Yarn:
The Yarn Collective Bloomsbury DK in colour Soot. Amount needed:
1 skein = 263 yards (240m) and is 100 % Merino wool.

Notions:
• Size 4 US (3.5 mm) needles, and same size dpn’s
• Darning needle,
• 1 stitch marker to denote the right side of work, and BOR,
• Measuring tape.

Skills required:
• Backwards loop cast on,
• Knit and purl sts,
• P2tog and k2tog decreases,
• Seaming,
• Picking up stitches,
• Working flat.

Notes about construction:
Knitted flat and diagonally into a rectangular shape. The sides are seamed. Lastly, stitches get picked up along an upper edge and reductions are worked.
To work the pattern in any gauge, use measurements of the fabric instead of the stitch count.
