Ring-tailed lemur
Ring-tailed lemurs (Lemur catta) are the world’s oldest primates, endemic to Madagascar. As opportunistic omnivores, they eat whatever is available and they dine on super diverse diets. So, once you have finished fabricating your own ring-tailed lemur, keep it clear of your kitchen. That way you won’t find it plundering and pillaging your fridge!
This 14 cm model was made on 2.5 mm double pointed (short) needles (UK 12.5, US 1.5) in Drops Lima (8903) black, (5310) taupe grey, (0619) beige and (1101) white. It can be done in scraps of any kind of yarn and double pointed needles. Soft toy filling is used to stuff the lemur. This is a fast, fun medium project, that requires flat and round knitting, color work, wrap and turns and short rows. There is some redistributing of stitches between needles and the facial features are embroidered.
Have a tail-riffic knit! Viv
