Ripped jeans were trending in the 70s during the punk movement. The rips signified rebellion. Early punks tore apart consumer goods as an expression of their anger towards society. Today the world of fashion has adopted this shabby chic style. I designed these socks to compliment a pair of jeans. Why not have a pair of hand knit socks with rips in them! This is a lovely diagonal lace pattern, which gives a laddered image, paying homage to the distressed look of ripped jeans.
