✿ One piece, no shoulder seams, and the ripple never breaks.

The Ripple Crochet Ruana starts at the back hem and works up in Ripple Stitch to the shoulder line. From there, you split and work each front down to its own hem, so the zigzag runs unbroken up your back and right over your shoulders. Every wrong side row goes into the third loop of the half double crochet, which gives the ripple its raised, ridged texture.

Leave the sides open for a flowy wrap, or seam them for armholes so it stays put on your shoulders. A ribbed front band joins on as you go and finishes everything off. It comes in four sizes, XS/S to 4X/5X, in a Short or Long length.

• Worked in one piece. Back hem to shoulder, then down each front. No shoulder seams anywhere.
• Two lengths. Short (52” hem to hem) or Long (60”), written through the whole pattern.
• Your call on armholes. Wear it open, or seam the sides. The video shows where and how.
• Ribbing that joins as you go. The join line tucks behind the band, so the front face stays smooth.
